Carmen’s Story
My relationship with skincare began long before it became my profession. From an early age, I was drawn to skincare products and makeup, fascinated by how thoughtful care could influence the way someone felt. That curiosity became deeply personal when I developed melasma around my upper lip, nose, and cheeks. Seeing a dermatologist and watching my skin improve through knowledgeable, consistent care revealed the power of personalized skincare and inspired me to help others feel more comfortable and confident in their own skin.
Her story
Rooted in my Peruvian heritage and shaped by experiences across Latin America, I made New York City my home for more than two decades. My background in interior design, love of art and photography, and experience as a yoga instructor cultivated my appreciation for balance, individuality, and connection — qualities that continue to inform my approach to skincare.
After completing my esthetics and laser education, I began building my career in New York City. I worked with professional skincare and beauty brands before joining a fast-paced skincare studio on the Upper East Side. Caring for a diverse clientele and working with many different skin types each day taught me one of the most important principles of my practice: no two skins are alike, and no two treatments should ever be exactly the same.
My experience later expanded into physician-led medical aesthetics, where I gained hands-on experience with advanced laser and energy-based treatments. Before relocating to Florida, I joined Skin Solutions Collective in Greenwich, Connecticut. Working alongside their exceptional, collaborative team strengthened my commitment to thorough skin assessment, meticulous attention to detail, client education, and individualized care—values that continue to shape my work at CCC Wellness today.
During this chapter, I received extensive training in the prestigious Biologique Recherche methodology. This refined my understanding of the skin as ever-changing, individual, and deserving of close attention. My facials combine careful observation, skilled touch, sculpting massage, and thoughtfully selected formulations to create treatments that respond to each client rather than follow a one-size-fits-all routine.
After relocating to Northeast Florida, CCC Wellness came fully to life as a private skincare studio where I could bring together my experience, creativity, and commitment to individualized care. CCC stands for Care, Commitment, and Confidence — the values at the heart of every client relationship and treatment experience. My goal is to create an environment where each person feels heard, understood, and genuinely cared for.
Outside the studio, I treasure life in St. Johns with my husband and daughter. Watching my daughter’s dedication to swimming reminds me that meaningful progress is built through patience, consistency, and commitment — the same values I bring to caring for the skin.
